Dear sir.
I wish to be a part of this very interesting program. I am disabled, in a wheel chair, and I am a graphic artist. I live in the Mission Hills area, of the San Fernando Valley. I would very much like to get into contact with you, perhaps find employment somewhere. Let's talk please.
Drop me an e mail, i need info. on phone #'s and names of people that may be looking to hire someone highly motivated, to not just do work in graphic art, but in whatever way I can be of use. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Hello,

I am writting on my newly injured 25 year old brother. He is being diagnosed at a C3 Quad, he spent 50 days in ICU @ Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Due to him being about an hour away, we asked that he be transfered to a local facility closer to home (once he was stable). This past Saturday he was transfered to a sub acute hospital, who we believe will not provide the adequate rehabilitation he requires and would like for him to be transfered to Rancho Los Amigos in Downey. I am getting the run around with Anthem Blue Cross, because they are not contracted. They asked me to file an appeal in order to get a Letter of Agreeement between these two faciliites. I would like to know who to turn to in order to get help with these situation. This is all new to us and we feel that he is not getting the adequate care to help him get thru this.

Thank you for your help

Hi Riders,
I am a quad of c6/c7 for the past 10yrs after a tragic road accident. I stayed in hospital for 3months after which i was released to go home. I have never been to a rehab center nor non for quads exist here in Kenya.
For years i struggled with my condition and managed to survive this far.Through SCI forums i have come to realize that i can leave a fulfilling life just like able bodied persons. I am trying with few friends to set up a rehab center for quads in Kisumu City here in Kenya and we are looking for friends outside this country who can team up with us in order to succeed in changing the lives of quads.
This is a third world country and we lack many facilities for persons with SCI. I believe there are organizations out there with Equipments they consider obsolete and no longer use them but are still useful to us here . We will appreciate any assistance that your foundation can offer

Hi Anth,
It's your old buddy Jay Laws! You are one tough dude!
I have been very fortunate to be able to spend my
child hood with you and your family, while we were
growing up. We had great times fishing and camping
up in Big Bear, and Lake Cachuma. Memories I will
never forget. I am happy for you and your wife and
all the success that you have accomplished. Ok now
that I got all that mushy stuff out of the way, HaHa. I
also wanted to say that if you are involved in any
type of events that need Cable Crossovers or Quick Snaps
I will donate my time and equipment for free ;) God Bless
to you and your family and congrats on your new baby. Talk
to you soon.....

Hi Mark,
I don't think we've ever met, but I know we have crossed paths. I am a first cousin of Alicia Patten--my mom is Judy Svengalis, Rosalee's sister. I grew up in Iowa, but now live in SoCal and am a psychologist in the SCI Service at the Long Beach Veteran's Hospital. I met Bobby Rohan the other day when I facilitated a social hour for our new peer-mentor program here in SCI and then randomly ran across your bio here when I checked out the Ralph's Riders site! It is truly a small world! I'm writing to say hello as a fellow Iowan, but also to see if you might be willing to speak at a future social hour here. We have started monthly events to raise awareness of our new program and I am trying to have a speaker each month sharing their personal experience living with SCI. I know it would be a trek to come down to Long Beach, but I would love to at least talk with you at some point to get your ideas on how to develop our program.
I look forward to hearing from you!

I became a T12 Para in March 2010. I have been home from the hospital for about a year. I go to PT 2x a week and visit my Real Estate office 2x a week although I work from home too.
I am at the stage of needing to be more independent and rely less on my wife - to give her a break. That is my goal for the rest of the summer; which includes getting outfitted to drive. I'd really like to go to lunch with my buddies - unassisted.
By now I have figured out that my low injury makes me relatively fortunate compared to folks with higher injuries so I am further along on the route of leading normal and fulfilling life.
